Stop waiting for the windfall
It’s not that it’s not coming. But you should stop waiting for it.
That breakthrough. The burst of cash. The investor who is going to believe in your dream.
It’s tempting, isn’t it, to wait. To hope. Especially when you have family members telling you to give up.
Don’t give up.
But here’s a second piece of advice. Stop living the dream!
No. I’m not telling you to get back and get a real job.
I’m telling you to focus on your clients’ dream; not your own.
And while I’m pontificating, let me tell you that the biggest windfall you’re going to have us going to come from the power of a daily habit.
The strength of taking the next good step into the fog. Not standing still, but also not running away or chasing some far-distant success.
Success will come from daily habits.
Booking appointments. Listening and learning. Stopping that “busy” work which you’re only doing because you enjoy it, not because it’s any part of your strategy.
The clients you will be working with are probably already within your reach. They may not be strangers at all. They may be right here.
The windfall is a distraction from your mission. Don’t chase it. Don’t wait for it. It’s not as far away as you think.
